Job Summary
The IT Operations Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the company's IT infrastructure and operations. This individual will lead a team of IT professionals, manage IT projects, and implement best practices to support the organization's technological needs. The IT Operations Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the company's IT infrastructure and operations. This individual will lead a team of IT professionals, manage IT projects, and implement best practices to support the organization's technological needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of IT systems and services.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
- Manage and optimize IT assets and licenses.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Manage team scheduling and on-call rotations.
- IT Service Management (ITSM):
- Implement and maintain IT service management as per ITIL best practices.
- Manage incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Develop and maintain service level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor and report on IT service performance.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular security assessments for the critical applications and perform periodical audits.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards with the help of Group IT team
- Manage backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage project resources and timelines.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation.
- Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure vendor performance.
- Evaluate and select new IT vendors.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the IT operations budget.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Forecast future IT needs and budget accordingly.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant personnel.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve IT operations and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends.
- Recommend and implement new technologies to support business goals.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, and security.
- Experience with cloud computing (Azure).
- Experience with ticketing systems, and monitoring tools preferably Zoho (Service Desk Plus)
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Knowledge of Info security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking, and hardware.
