Key Responsibilities
SQL Database Management:
- Oversee the performance, security, and backups of SQL databases.
- Optimise database queries and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with teams to develop and maintain data-driven applications.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
- Ensure network security, uptime, and efficient troubleshooting.
- Implement upgrades and resolve connectivity issues.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Manage IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.
- Ensure compatibility, performance, and efficiency of systems.
- Provide leadership to the IT support team in resolving technical issues.
- Develop and implement IT policies and best practices.
- Ensure minimal downtime and effective incident management.
- Plan and implement IT projects in alignment with business needs.
- Manage IT budgets and negotiate with vendors for cost-effective solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend relevant upgrades.
- Expertise in SQL database management and optimisation.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security systems.
- Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Experience managing SAP HANA and Microsoft 365 environments is a plus.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the manufacturing or retail sector.
- Certifications in SQL, Networking (CCNA/CCNP), or IT Management (ITIL, PMP) are a plus
