General Information:

Within the department Engineering Digitalization & IT, you will join the team in charge of providing global support.

As a Support Engineer, you will help deliver timely assistance to the Engineering Community on tooling and platform issues. Your role will include verifying, validating, and documenting internally developed tools.

You will leverage your expertise in administering tools and work within an international team following Agile methodologies.

Your Key Responsibilities:

As a support engineer in an Agile Team, you will be responsible for tool modules / workpackages assigned by your Product Owner

• Develop, test, pilot, and rollout.
• Administration and support of applications for system and software development, such as PTC Integrity, Addon tools.
• Verification & Validation and documentation of the internally developed tools.
• Ensure proper configuration management of your deliverables (Source Code, Test specifications, Test Results)
• Ensure peer reviews in team and across team in similar technologies.
• Listen to the issues the users are facing, analyse the causes and provide solution.
• Derive and implement the corrective actions and active to solve the issues in time.
• Provide timely support for the user’s community
• Fluent English spoken and written.
• Total 2 to 3 years of experience.
  
  

Your Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in any related discipline or a comparable qualification from a reputable institution and a good academic record.

Software development core skills

Scripting languages: Python/PowerShell would be appreciated.

Advanced knowledge in databases

• • • Relational databases: SQL
      

Software development extended skills (highly appreciated)

• • • Knowledge of software development projects methods & tools (Scrum, Kanban / Jira)
    • CI/CT tools: Git, Jenkins.
    • Knowledge in cloud technologies: AWS, Terraform.
      

Business domain knowledge

• • • Basic knowledge in development processes and methods.
    • Basic knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management Tools like Siemens Polarion, PTC RV&S and CodeBeamer.
    • Experience in working with Ticketing Systems (e.g. servicenow).
    • Basic knowledge of Enterprise IT Networks.
      

Soft skills and mindset

• • • Technical curiosity: you are eager to learn new technologies and are not afraid to learn by doing, being supported by a strong team and experienced colleagues
    • You are motivated to work in Agile Mode, a former practice of scrum and kanban will be very much appreciated.
