Summary
As a SRE ENGINEER III, you will report to the Sr. Manager - Hybrid IT SRE. 8 to 10 years experience working as SRE with knowledge on open source, shell scripting, telemetry, monitoring and CI/CD tools such as TFS, Azure DevOps (ADO). Should be flexible to work in US SHIFTS and should be available for extended support basis business needs / critical support ask.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
As a SRE ENGINEER III, you will report to the Sr. Manager - Hybrid IT SRE. 8 to 10 years experience working as SRE with knowledge on open source, shell scripting, telemetry, monitoring and CI/CD tools such as TFS, Azure DevOps (ADO). Should be flexible to work in US SHIFTS and should be available for extended support basis business needs / critical support ask.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide governance & oversight to guide implementation toward solution delivery.
- Guide & mentor the team to successfully deliver projects.
- Develop and execute automated builds & releases while benchmarking industry standards for efficient and quality delivery and deployments.
- Contribute to and review deployment plans; schedule the installation of new modules, upgrades, and fixes to the production environment.
- Lead analytical & design activities using approved/validated technologies in line with organizational standards and methodologies.
- Align IT security and IT operations teams to ensure DevOps processes operate safely and securely.
- Support and extend technical guidance to junior team members.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and adapt to new technologies as needed.
- Provide extended support as required based on business needs and critical support demands.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- 7+ years of Linux systems support experience in an IT environment, preferably in a technical industry (Server Deployment, Monitoring, Observability & Support).
- 2+ years of experience in AWS, OCI, or GCP.
- Must have experience in ANSIBLE & Ansible Tower, including playbook creation, inventories, scheduling, and repository management.
- Strong scripting knowledge, preferably YAML (PowerShell is a plus).
- Experience with open-source automation for rapid server builds and software deployment.
- Monitoring & Infrastructure as Code (IAC):
- Knowledge of SRE processes, monitoring, telemetry, and IAC tools like Terraform.
- Knowledge of clustering technologies, server farming techniques, and load balancing, including F5 Big IP or other hardware load balancing.
- Disaster Recovery & System Administration:
- Experience with Disaster Recovery techniques, including backup and restoration technologies, replication strategies, fail-over, and recovery.
- Installation/configuration experience with Apache, Samba, FTP, NFS, and LDAP.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
