Overview
Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Equipment Maintenance and Support:
o Ensure all IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, projectors, servers, switches, routers, hubs, CCTV equipment, smart boards, and Wi-Fi routers, are fully operational.
o Perform periodic maintenance and troubleshooting of all IT equipment.
2. On-Call Issue Resolution:
o Be available during working hours to quickly resolve IT issues in classrooms or other areas.
o Troubleshoot and resolve LAN, wireless network, and internet-related issues immediately.
3. Network and Connectivity Management:
o Ensure intranet and all computer networks remain functional at all times.
o Coordinate and communicate with internet service providers to resolve connectivity issues, raising tickets as needed.
4. Cybersecurity and Data Protection:
o Maintain firewalls and antivirus software on all relevant devices.
o Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to safeguard sensitive school data.
5. CCTV and Security:
o Provide CCTV recordings to management upon request.
o Maintain and ensure the functionality of all CCTV equipment.
6. Documentation and Inventory:
o Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets.
o Document all IT-related complaints and resolutions daily.
7. Software Support and Configuration:
o Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications used across the school.
8. Technical Assistance for Events:
o Provide technical support for school events, including presentations, virtual meetings, and exhibitions.
9. Cross-Campus Support:
o Travel across two nearby campuses as required.
10. Availability and Flexibility:
· Be present at school by 7:30 AM and work on Saturdays as needed.
· Be available to support special events during or beyond regular school hours.
Qualifications:
1. Educational Background:
o Graduate in an IT-related field.
2. Certifications:
o Relevant certifications in IT or related technologies.
3. Technical Skills:
o Proficient in the Windows operating system.
o Familiar with networking technologies, including Wi-Fi, routers, and firewalls.
o Knowledge of cloud-based educational tools like Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365, or similar platforms.
o Experience with classroom technologies such as smartboards, projectors, and AV equipment.
4. Work Experience:
o Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as an IT Support Engineer.
o Experience working in an educational institution is a plus.
5. Other Requirements:
o Ability to travel independently to the school and not rely on school transport
o Ability to travel independently between campuses.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
