Java Developer – Mid Level (3 to 5 Years)

About the Role:

Join the technology team at American Express, where innovation meets enterprise-scale

impact. We're looking for mid-level Java developers to help build and enhance secure,

scalable microservices and APIs that power our global payment infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

● Develop and maintain backend systems using Java 8, Spring Boot, and REST

APIs.

● Collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality, scalable microservices.

● Apply sound software engineering principles, including object-oriented design,

multithreading, and data structure optimization.

● Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with Product Owners and

Architects.

● Write clean, testable, and secure code adhering to Amex coding standards and

compliance requirements.

Technical Skills:

● Proficiency in Java 8, including hands-on coding and debugging.

● Strong understanding of Spring Boot, RESTful API development, and

microservices.

● Solid grasp of multithreading, concurrent programming, and performance tuning.

● Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

● Exposure to version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools.

Preferred:

● Familiarity with security best practices for enterprise APIs.

● Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Amex private cloud) is a plus.

●Understanding of API gateways and service meshes.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
