Junior Generative AI Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Junior Generative AI Engineer with 1-2 years of experience who is eager to work on real-world Gen AI applications. This role is ideal for someone who has foundational knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and AI-powered applications, and wants to grow in a fast-paced product environment. You will work closely with the product and engineering teams to build, test, and deploy Gen AI-based features and automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate applications using Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Work on prompt engineering and optimisation for better model outputs.
• Build basic AI-powered chatbots, assistants, and content automation tools.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) based workflows (basic level).
• Experiment with OpenAI or other LLM APIs for real-world use cases.
• Develop backend services using Python.
• Integrate Gen AI features via REST APIs.
• Handle structured and unstructured data processing.
• Assist in deploying AI features into production environments.
• Test, evaluate, and improve prompt responses.
• Monitor AI outputs for accuracy, bias, and relevance.
• Work on performance improvements and cost optimisation of API usage.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
• Basic understanding of Generative AI concepts and LLMs.
• Experience working with OpenAI APIs or similar LLM platforms.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering techniques.
• Familiarity with LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Understanding of REST APIs and backend integration.
• Basic knowledge of databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL or NoSQL).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work from the office (Pune).
• Experience with vector databases (e. g., Pinecone, FAISS).
• Basic understanding of embeddings and RAG architecture.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience building AI-powered chatbots or automation tools.
• Understanding of AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Curiosity about AI trends and continuous learning.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to participate in brainstorming sessions for new AI features.
