Position Overview:
We are looking for a Junior System Administrator to join our IT team and assist in the management and maintenance of our organization's IT infrastructure. The Junior System Administrator will work under the guidance of senior team members to support various aspects of systems administration, including server management, network administration, user support, and troubleshooting. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic IT environment and grow their career in system administration.
Key Responsibilities:
User Support: Provide technical support to end-users by responding to helpdesk tickets, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving technical problems in a timely manner. Assist users with account setup, password resets, and access permissions.
System Monitoring and Maintenance: Assist in monitoring system performance, analyzing system logs, and identifying potential issues or security threats. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system backups, disk cleanup, and software updates, under the guidance of senior team members.
Server and Network Administration: Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and software, including operating systems, virtualization platforms, and server applications. Support network infrastructure by configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation for IT systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and training activities to learn new technologies and enhance technical skills.
Security and Compliance: Learn and follow security best practices and compliance standards to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance. Assist in implementing security measures, performing security audits, and applying patches and updates as needed.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with team members and other departments to support IT projects, deploy new technologies, and resolve technical issues. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
0-2 years of experience in IT support or system administration role.
Basic understanding of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) are a plus.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
