To be successful as a Large Holdings Sr. Java Developer you should have experience with:
8+ years of total IT experience
3+ years experience of working for an Investment Bank
8+ years experience with Java / J2EE technologies including Java frameworks such as Springs/Hibernates/Angular JS
Able to document system architectures and process flow
Able to work well with IT developers in multiple locations and across other teams
Knowledge of software development ‘best practices’ and the software development life cycle using Agile methodologies.
Excellent problem solving skills, able to shift priorities quickly

3+ years of working in the Compliance or Risk domains.
Experience with Java Script/HTML5 a plus
Experience with the following tool sets:
Perforce/GIT for source code control
Confluence, JIRA, UML for project and task tracking
Autosys for batch control
MQ for messaging
MS or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Physics, Maths or other relevant subjects.
Experience with software release/build processes (e.g., Continuous Integration, Automated Deployment, Test Driven Development, etc.)
Project management certification; PMP, CSM, etc.
Strong appreciate of Global Markets and awareness of global economic, regulatory and Compliance trends.
Specific knowledge of financial products such as Equities or Commodities

This role is based in Pune.
Purpose of the role
To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
