Overview
Responsibilities
- Maintain existing MySQL environments, including large replication environments for data mining and mid-sized high-availability environments.
- Develop and optimise database design for new applications.
- Troubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems' availability and scalability.
- Suggest tools and processes for the identification and management of database infrastructure components.
- Knowledge of the installation method of MYSQL and also significant general system administration skills on UNIX/HP, Linux, and AWS Linux.
- Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Client/Server Connectivity, and Database Consistency Checks using different Utilities.
- Must have Experience with AWS RDS, AWS backup, Replication, and snapshot.
- Experience working with the AWS Console is a plus.
- Good team player with strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
