Lead Software Engineer – Cloud

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

Manages teams with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control rather than development.

Short-term operational/tactical responsibilities.

Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and updating electronic data systems in accordance with the needs of the organisation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under general direction, participates as high level technical expert in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software.
• Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them.
• Activities include evaluating, scheduling and resourcing development projects, investigating user needs, writing, testing and maintaining computer programs, and preparing systems documentation.
• Resolves customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Participates in the development of software user manuals.
• May act as team leader on less complex projects.
• Assists in training less experienced software development staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelors Degree (± 16 years)

Experience/Background

Minimum 4 years
