Job Description
Job Title: ML Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Reporting to: Team Lead - ML
- Purpose of the role
- Key tasks & accountabilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models into production environments on Azure.
- Develop reusable and modular Python code adhering to OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement machine learning solutions.
- Develop, test, and optimize machine learning algorithms using Python.
- Implement and maintain efficient data pipelines using tools such as Databricks and Airflow.
- Ensure scalable and reliable deployment of machine learning models using best practices in MLOps.
- Manage the full ML lifecycle, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Monitor model performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Leverage Databricks UC (Unity Catalog) for managing data governance, access control, and data quality.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to meet business needs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in machine learning and cloud technologies.
- Qualifications, Experience, Skills
- B.Tech /BE/ Masters in CS/IS/AI/ML
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in deploying machine learning models into production, specifically using Azure.
- Strong expertise in Python, including advanced knowledge of OOP concepts.
- Hands-on experience developing machine learning models and algorithms using Python.
- Extensive experience working with Databricks, particularly for model development, experimentation, and deployment.
- Experience with Airflow for orchestrating and automating workflows.
- Solid understanding of MLOps practices, model versioning, and CI/CD pipelines for ML.
- In-depth understanding of the full ML lifecycle from data collection to model deployment and monitoring.
- Proficiency in Databricks UC (Unity Catalog) for managing data governance and access control.
- Familiarity with cloud-based services (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Passion for solving problems using data.
- Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive.
- Ability to learn on the go.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information at various levels of an organization.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
