Manual Test Engineer - Enterprise Applications

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual QA Tester with over 4 years of experience in functional testing of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in banking domain applications, particularly with Finastra FCC International Trade Finance, and a strong understanding of Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Documentary Collections, and SWIFT payment systems. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams in a product development environment, ensuring high-quality delivery through effective test planning and Responsibilities :

• Perform manual functional testing of enterprise-level banking applications with a primary focus on trade finance modules.
• Validate and verify business functionality for Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs), and Documentary Collections.
• Execute test cases related to SWIFT message flows and related financial transaction processes.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and developers to understand detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Write comprehensive and effective test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business requirements and design documents.
• Conduct thorough testing of REST APIs/Web Services for integration and functionality validation.
• Perform end-to-end database testing (queries, validations, data integrity, etc.) to ensure backend data accuracy.
• Identify, document, and track bugs or inconsistencies using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Provide clear and timely status updates and reports to stakeholders.
• Contribute to test planning, effort estimation, and test strategy discussions.
• Participate in requirement review and sprint planning meetings as part of an Agile/Scrum team.
• Ensure high standards of QA processes and documentation across the Skills & Experience :
• 4+ years of experience in Manual Testing of enterprise applications.
• Proven expertise in Finastra FCC Trade Finance application testing.
• Strong domain knowledge in Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Documentary Collections, and Trade Finance processes.
• Working experience with SWIFT messages and payment system validations.
• Knowledge of REST APIs/Web Services testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, etc.
• Basic understanding of database testing, including writing simple SQL queries.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Ability to analyze business requirements, identify edge cases, and prepare comprehensive test scenarios.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented with a "Can Do" Qualifications :
• Experience with Test Management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or HP ALM.
• Exposure to automation testing tools or frameworks (added advantage).
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience in other Finastra modules or core banking systems is an added bonus.
