Job DescriptionThis is a regional (International Markets Group) role located in India FBS Chennai. The individual will report to the Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineering & Delivery Lead. As a Marketing Cloud Business Analyst, you should be bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within the Marketing Cloud ecosystem in salesforce. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of business analysis expertise, deep knowledge of Marketing functionalities and a proven track record of managing business requirements in an agile environment. You will work closely with marketing stakeholders, solution architects, and development teams to translate strategic marketing objectives into detailed, actionable requirements, ensuring solutions are well-defined and aligned with business value. Salesforce marketing cloud knowledge is preferable but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Management: Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions (e.g., workshops, interviews) with marketing stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business, functional, and non-functional requirements for Marketing Cloud initiatives.
- Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews) as a key member of the product team, ensuring that user stories and acceptance criteria are clear, concise, and testable.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison between marketing business users and technical delivery teams (Solution Architects, Developers, QA), ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding of requirements and solutions.
- Requirement Elaboration & Grooming: Collaborate extensively with Solution Architects and Functional Leads to elaborate and groom requirements, ensuring they are well-understood, technically feasible, and sufficiently detailed before the design and development phases.
- Solution Design Support: Contribute to the evaluation of potential solutions and system designs, ensuring that proposed technical approaches effectively address documented business needs and align with Marketing Cloud best practices.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation including user stories, process flows, use cases, data models, and functional specifications, using tools appropriate for an agile environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within marketing operations through the effective use of Marketing Cloud features.
- Training & Support: Assist in the creation of training materials and provide support to end-users during and after solution deployment.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, specifically within the Marketing domain.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with other Salesforce clouds (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and integrations will be added advantage.
