Network Automation & Application Developer

This is a remote position.

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled Network Automation & Application Developer with expertise in Python to build automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning and network management. The ideal candidate should have experience in automating network and cloud infrastructure using modern tools and frameworks. They should be capable of designing, developing, and deploying automation workflows for seamless infrastructure operations.




Requirements Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Python/Ansible-based automation solutions for network and infrastructure provisioning.
  
• Architect and design high-quality solutions for network automation and cloud orchestration.
  
• Automate device provisioning, including Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) for network devices.
  
• Work with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Nornir, Napalm, and pyATS.
  
• Design and implement API automation, third-party integrations, and ServiceNow automation.
  
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions.
  
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitHub Runners, and GitHub Workflows.
  
• Build and integrate Django-based applications for network automation and management.
  
• Work with NetBox for network inventory automation.
  
• Develop and test network automation solutions in POC environments like EVE-NG, GNS3, VMware, and OpenStack.
  
• Automate configuration parsing and validation of network devices.
  
• Collaborate with DevOps, network engineers, and cloud teams to improve automation processes.
  
• Provide technical expertise on Cisco ACI, NX-OS, IOS, ISR, ASR, Arista, Juniper, and Fortinet.
  
• Ensure best practices in network security and infrastructure provisioning.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Python with experience in building automation scripts and applications.
  
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, Nornir, Napalm, pyATS, and configuration parsing logic.
  
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline setup and management using GitHub Workflows, GitHub Runners.
  
• Expertise in network automation concepts, infrastructure provisioning, and POC lab environments.
  
• Strong understanding of networking technologies, including:
  
• Routing and switching fundamentals
  
• Dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.)
  
• VLANs, VXLAN, and switch stacking
  
• VPN technologies (site-to-site VPN, remote access VPN, Cisco AnyConnect)
  
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, IP addressing, and subnetting
  
• Network design and architecture best practices
  
• Network security concepts and firewall automation
  
• Load balancing and traffic engineering
  
• Network telemetry and monitoring solutions
  
• Hands-on experience with device provisioning automation and Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP).
  
• Experience with Django for building automation applications and third-party integrations.
  
• Familiarity with cloud automation platforms such as OpenStack, VMware, and public cloud providers.
  
• Knowledge of NetBox for network inventory management and automation.
  
• Experience integrating with ServiceNow for IT workflow automation.
  
• Strong understanding of Linux system administration.
  
• Ability to design and build end-to-end automation solutions for network infrastructure provisioning.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Red Hat/Linux Certifications, or relevant DevOps certifications.
  
• Network vendor certifications related to automation (e.g., Cisco DevNet, Juniper JNCIA-DevOps, or equivalent).
  
• Experience working with Cisco ACI, NX-OS, IOS, ISR, ASR, Arista, Juniper, and Fortinet devices.
  
• Familiarity with SD-WAN and firewall configuration automation.
  
• Experience working with network simulation tools like EVE-NG and GNS3.
  
• Knowledge of infrastructure provisioning concepts and best practices.
