Overview
Job Summary:
Job Summary:
- Troubleshoot and configure Optilink devices ONU, OLT,and Switches and provide corrective actions
- Testing of new devices which involves routing and switching hands on experience
- Act as technical escalation point of contact for Level 1 engineers
- Assist in the creation of Root Cause Analysiss (RCA), Assist in testing of new devices and networking protocols.
- Handle escalated and large configuration cases by visiting the customer site within Mumbai or out of Mumbai
Key competencies
Essential.
- 4 to 10 yrs. of experience in Switches—Juniper, CISCO etc. Good troubleshooting experience required
- Strong industry based technical aptitude (e.g.TCP/IP and Application layer protocols)
- Good knowledge and troubleshooting experience on networking protocols (eg. SNMP, Ether channel, DNS, HSRP, Routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, BGP etc. and switching protocols like VLAN, Trunking, STP, LACP etc.)
- Good knowledge of PON Technology – GPON, EPON.
Key Qualifications
Essentials
- Bachelors Degree Or relevant experience & proficiency
- CCNA Must be Valid and also CCNP in Routing & Switching (Atleast course completed)

Strategic:
- Demonstrate ability to understand and use of appropriate methods, tools and applications having rational and organised approach to work.
- To provide 2nd and 3rd level support and taking ownership of Incident and Problem cases.

Implementation:
- Visiting customer site and understanding customer requirement and configuring the devices.
- Conduct POC on various GPON and Juniper devices
- Taking Secure meeting session to support customer in trouble shooting network issues

Managerial:
- Responsible for the uptime of the various client projects being managed / monitored.
- Ensure that the tickets raised per shift are closed as per SLA and if not escalate as per the escalation Matrix defined.

Attitudinal:
- Energetic & self-motivated & team player.
- Goal achievers & positive thinking.
- Should have good communication & Comprehension
Functional:
- CCNA, CCNP certified.
- Hands on experience in GPON technology
- Language Known: English, Hindi, Marathi
Travel Requirements: Yes
- - 50% on field ( within or outside Mumbai as per project ) and 50% office
