Network Engineer III

We are looking for a Sr. Network Engineer to implement, maintain and support our growing need for on-premises and cloud offerings in voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This role requires a deep understanding of traditional networking technologies as well as modern cloud networking solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex network environments and a passion for staying current with industry trends You will be part of the infrastructure team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, and highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs. You will also handle site network migrations, assess and recommend materials and architectures required for business use. This individual will analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training.

This is a remote opportunity for people living in India.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

• Collaborate with IT and Business teams to assess near and long-term network capacity needs.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
• Develop and implement network solutions that support both on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Acquisition & Deployment

• Design and deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
• Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
• Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
• Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
• Participate in Design and implementation meetings.
• Assist in design, implement, and support for Audio/Video systems

Network Management

• Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
• Collaborate with cloud architects to integrate on-premises networks with cloud platforms, specifically Azure.
• Administrate various devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, Wi-Fi, MFA, VOIP phone system and security tools)

• Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
• Act as a primary point of contact for all sites and provide Level 3 support to resolve issues.
• Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports. Participate in managing all network security solutions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
• Perform network security audits, and system backups and recovery as needed.
• Comfortable to work as part of a team and as an individually

Required Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Cisco certification– CCNP
• 8+ Years of relevant minimum relevant work in IT support
• Proven experience with Cisco equipment and tools.
• Cisco Prime, Meraki, FMC and ISE are a must.
• Microsoft Visio experience drawing topologies
• Strong experience with cloud networking services and architectures in Azure.
• ISE – configurating and troubleshooting including Posturing, and NAC
• Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco firewalls, next gen firewalls, FMC and FTD
• Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches and wireless controllers
• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, and WLAN design and implementation.
• Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security and management tools, and general network management best practices.
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits.
• Knowledge working with networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives and constantly looks forward.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Experience with site migrations and migrating from one carrier to another
• SD-WAN experience
• Comfortable performing firmware upgrades on firewalls, ISE, Prime, switches and wireless controllers.

• 2+ years of experience in the medical device industry preferred.
