Network / Wintel Engineer

Overview

OVERVIEW :

We are looking for a Network Engineer with a strong background in Wintel environments to assist RemainCo in its post-divestiture activities. The primary focus of this short-term engagement will be to support the network separation, decommission legacy systems, and help transition the infrastructure from a shared corporate model to an independent and minimal footprint model.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Support the segmentation and disconnection of networks shared with the divested entity.
• Assist in isolating RemainCo-specific subnets, firewalls, and routing configurations.
• Participate in structured shutdown of Wintel servers and associated infrastructure no longer required.
• Validate dependencies and ensure clean decommissioning of services like DHCP, DNS, and print servers.
• Review and streamline network configurations in preparation for simplified RemainCo operations.
• Recommend and assist in migration to cloud-based or third-party services where feasible.
• Ensure secure teardown of systems with appropriate data sanitization.
• Work with the InfoSec team to update firewall rules, VPN access, and endpoint policies.
• Maintain clear and detailed documentation of all changes and decommissions.
• Provide final transition reports and technical runbooks for ongoing operations.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Background in infrastructure projects with aggressive timelines and minimal downtime.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across networking and Windows environments.
• Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
• Experience in Palo Alto firewall, Cisco Core Switches
• Experience in SD Wan is a Plus

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: From ₹600.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• cloud networking (Azure, AWS): 3 years (Required)
• Palo Alto firewall: 4 years (Required)
• SD Wan: 4 years (Preferred)

Work Location: Remote
