- Nexus Network Engineer
- Bangalore(Hybrid)
- Deep Technical Expertise in L2/L3 Networking Protocols & Technologies
- Proficient in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks. Solid understanding and practical experience with:
- L2: Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), VLANs, Port Channels
- L3: HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
- Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) configurations and interconnectivity strategies
- Cisco Nexus Platform Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus series switches:
- Nexus 2000, 5000, 7000, and 9000 platforms
- Proficient in switch provisioning, vPC, FEX, QoS, VDCs, and advanced forwarding configurations
- Overlay and Virtualization Technologies
- In-depth understanding of modern data center overlay technologies, including:
- VXLAN with MP-BGP EVPN control plane
- OTV (Overlay Transport Virtualization) for Layer 2 extension across data centers
- LISP (Locator/ID Separation Protocol) for scalable IP addressing
- Cisco Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
- Proficient in Cisco SDN technologies and orchestration tools:
- Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure): Policy-based fabric automation, contracts, EPGs, Bridge Domains, and APIC configuration
- Standalone VXLAN Fabric: Implementation without ACI using BGP EVPN
- DCNM (Data Center Network Manager): Fabric automation and lifecycle management
- Network Automation and Programmability
- Familiar with Cisco's Programmable Network portfolio, using tools such as REST APIs, Ansible, and Python scripting for configuration automation and monitoring.
