Responsibilities

• Perform regular health checks and monitoring of overall infrastructure
• Configure, deploy, and manage Linux services on bare-metal servers
• Manage and maintain SLURM clusters and distributed storage system
• Handle networking setup including routing, VLANs, bonding, and NIC tuning
• Server provisioning, OS installation, and infrastructure standardization
• Manage drivers, packages, kernel modules, and firmware updates
• Perform performance tuning, overclocking, and low-latency optimizations
• Benchmark different kernels, server configurations, and hardware setups
• Automate routine operational tasks using scripts and configuration tools
• Troubleshoot system, network, and performance-related issues
  
  

• Hands-on experience with Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky/Alma)
• Basic understanding of server hardware, BIOS, firmware, and networking
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, and VLANs
• Shell scripting (Bash); Python is a plus
• Exposure to automation tools like Ansible or similar
• Familiarity with performance and benchmarking tools (fio, iperf, sysbench, perf)
  
  

• Exposure to SLURM or HPC environments
• Knowledge of distributed storage (Ceph, GlusterFS, Lustre, NFS)
• Understanding of kernel tuning, NUMA, CPU pinning, and HugePages
• Experience with low-latency or high-performance computing environments
• Exposure to data center or bare-metal infrastructure
