Performance Tester

Overview

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Performance Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing performance testing strategies to ensure our applications meet optimal speed, scalability, and stability under varying load conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or NeoLoad.
• Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and scalability issues.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand application performance requirements.
• Create detailed performance test plans, test cases, and test data aligned with project goals.
• Simulate real-world load scenarios and perform stress, load, endurance, and spike testing.
• Provide recommendations for performance improvements and system tuning.
• Generate and present comprehensive performance test reports and dashboards.
• Participate in performance tuning activities alongside development and infrastructure teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing.
• Strong expertise in one or more performance testing tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoLoad, etc.
• Solid understanding of HTTP/S, APIs, server architecture, and web application components.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker) and agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Shell).
• ISTQB or other relevant performance testing certifications.
