Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Product Owner at Smart Food Safe. We have multiple positions open for PO role. The Product Owner will be responsible for owning and driving the end‑to‑end sprint lifecycle for our in‑house products. You will work closely with our Founder, designers, development teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, create detailed user stories, refine designs, and define sprints that ensure timely delivery of high‑quality products. This role requires an individual with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills who can lead agile teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. We are urgently looking for immediate joiners.

Key Responsibilities:

Sprint Process Ownership:

• Own the complete sprint lifecycle—from sprint planning, backlog grooming, refinement, execution to retrospectives.
• Act as the Agile champion, ensuring that best practices in sprint execution and backlog prioritization are followed.

Requirement Gathering & Documentation:

• Collaborate with the Founder and stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business needs.
• Create comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria that clearly translate business requirements into development tasks.
• Maintain updated BRDs, wireframes, and sprint documentation using tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Collaborate with development teams and QA engineers to monitor progress and ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

Design Collaboration:

• Work closely with UI/UX designers to define and finalize design components before each sprint refinement.
• Iterate on user stories and designs based on feedback from the Founder and cross-functional teams.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Regularly update stakeholders on sprint progress, challenges, and milestones.
• Conduct competitive market research to enhance product requirements and ensure alignment with industry best practices.

Continuous Improvement:

• Analyze and optimize product workflows based on market insights and data-driven decision-making.
• Focus on quality by ensuring timely bug fixes and improvements, maintaining high standards for production releases.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Business/Product Analyst or Product Owner in a SaaS or agile environment (Software Development).
• Proven experience in owning the sprint lifecycle and driving agile processes.
• Hands‑on experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and other agile project management and documentation tools.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct market research and translate findings into product enhancements.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills, with a proven track record of working cross‑functionally.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience mentoring junior team members or working closely with senior management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP).
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Prior exposure to data analytics and competitive market research.
• Familiarity with UX design processes and wireframing tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Balsamiq).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹116,666.00 per month
