Python Developer

Overview

We’re looking for a motivated Python developer with a strong foundation in backend development and a keen interest or hands-on experience in FastAPI. You will play a key role in our ongoing migration from PHP to Python, helping us build scalable, production-ready APIs that power our core platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop clean, maintainable REST APIs using Python (FastAPI preferred)
• Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams
• Optimize backend systems for speed, security, and scalability
• Integrate third-party APIs and services
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production
• Write unit tests and maintain technical documentation

Required Skills

• 2+ years of professional experience in Python backend development
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs using any Python framework (FastAPI/Flask/Django REST)
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming (async/await)
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Understanding of ORM libraries (SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, or similar)
• Strong grasp of API principles, HTTP methods, and request lifecycle
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
• Good debugging and analytical skills

Nice to Have (or Willing to Learn)

• Direct experience with FastAPI (even if limited to personal or freelance projects)
• Docker and containerization basics
• Authentication flows (JWT/OAuth2)
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (e.g., PyTest)
• API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹33,333.00 per month
