QA Automation Tester

Overview

QA Lead (5-8 years)

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance Leadership

a. Lead and manage QA efforts across projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

b. Define and implement QA processes, strategies, and best practices.

2. eCommerce Application Testing

a. Perform end-to-end testing of eCommerce applications, including product search, checkout, and payment flows.

b. Identify and log defects across defect life-cycle to ensure a seamless user experience.

3. Test Management

a. Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing.

b. Prioritize testing efforts based on project timelines and business requirements.

4. Team Collaboration and Mentorship

a. Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify quality goals.

b. Mentor and guide junior QA team members to ensure skill development and performance excellence.

5. Automation and Continuous Improvement

a. Design and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts.

b. Continuously improve QA processes and tools to adapt to evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications

· Experience:

o 5-8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead role.

o Prior experience testing eCommerce applications is highly preferred.

· Technical Skills:

o Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

o Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar.

o Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

o Proficiency in SQL for data validation and debugging.

o Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.

o Test management in an Agile Development model using tools like JIRA

· Education:

o Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Soft Skills:

o Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

o Excellent communication and leadership skills.

o Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

· Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms and tools.

· Familiarity with agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.

· Exposure to security testing, penetration testing and compliance standards

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
