QA Engineer (Manual Testing)

About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team.
The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of experience in manual testing and a deep understanding of the
software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and
usability of our software products through rigorous manual testing.
Responsibilities
● Create, execute, and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and test strategies based on
project requirements.
● Perform various types of manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and
user acceptance testing.
● Identify, document, and report software defects and inconsistencies using a bug tracking
system.
● Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand
product requirements and ensure quality throughout the development process.
● Analyze and troubleshoot issues to provide detailed and accurate bug reports with clear steps
to reproduce.
● Participate in requirement reviews and provide valuable feedback to improve the overall
quality of the product.
● Contribute to the enhancement of testing processes and methodologies.
Requirements
● 5–7 years of professional experience in manual software testing.
● Proven expertise in the software testing lifecycle (STLC) and methodologies.
● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
● Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or equivalent).
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues
clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
● Ability to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
● Experience with testing mobile, web, and desktop applications is a plus.
● Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation is a plus.
