Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Manual Tester with 2–5 years of experience in functional testing, database applications, and web services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud environments (AWS), and data transmission protocols (REST, SOAP, FTP). You will play a key role in validating the accuracy, performance, and reliability of our data-driven systems, collaborating closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications for data persistence and transmission features.

• Perform manual testing of data storage functionalities in databases and cloud-based environments, including AWS and FTP sites.

• Validate the functionality of sending curve data to target systems via messaging and web services, including REST and SOAP protocols, using data formats such as JSON and XML.

• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, providing detailed reproduction steps.

• Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

• Analyze test results, provide feedback on data quality and performance, and recommend improvements.

• Ensure compliance with data handling and security policies during testing procedures.

• Stay current with new testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

Must-Have

• 2-5 years of functional testing experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Manual Tester, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Experience testing database applications; familiarity with SQL and NoSQL technologies.

• Experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS, and testing related data management functionalities.

• Proficiency in testing web services, including REST and SOAP, and working with data formats like JSON and XML.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of file transfer protocols such as FTP and testing these integrations.

• Experience with automation testing tools and scripting languages.

• QA certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE.
