Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system.

About the Role:

• Quality Assurance & Control Implementation:
• Develop and implement QA/QC plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for all civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
• Ensure that construction and installation activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Inspection & Testing:
• Conduct and document inspections for incoming materials, site workmanship, equipment installation, and structural elements (e.g., MMS, foundations, cable trenching).
• Supervise third-party and in-house testing for concrete, steel, welds, earthing, and electrical continuity.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain detailed quality records, checklists, and test reports.
• Prepare and submit quality-related reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans (CAPA).
• Vendor and Subcontractor Quality Monitoring:
• Review and approve material test certificates (MTC), fabrication quality reports, and welding logs.
• Audit subcontractor work and ensure their adherence to quality standards.
• Coordination:
• Liaise with site engineers, construction teams, and client representatives for inspections and approvals.
• Support handover and commissioning processes through proper documentation and final inspections.
• Compliance and Audits:
• Conduct internal quality audits and assist in external audits.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.) and project-specific quality requirements.
  
  

About You

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical)
• Prior experience in QA/QC roles, with at least 2 years in solar power plant or renewable energy projects
• Strong understanding of construction quality standards, inspection procedures, and testing protocols
• Familiar with solar PV system components, including MMS, inverters, cables, and earthing systems
• Proficient in preparing QA/QC documentation, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans (CAPA)
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other quality management systems
• Ability to conduct internal audits, vendor quality monitoring, and subcontractor assessments
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication
• Strong reporting and documentation skills for quality records and test reports
