Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Overview

A Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that software products and systems meet the specified quality standards before they are released to customers.

Job Description

Test Planning: Planning and creating test strategies and plans that will ensure that software products are thoroughly tested and any defects are identified and resolved before release.

Test Execution: Executing test plans and test cases to ensure that the software is functioning correctly and that all requirements have been met.

Defect Management: Documenting and tracking defects found during testing, as well as working with developers to resolve them.

Collaboration: A QA Engineer should be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and project managers, to ensure that software products meet customer needs and are delivered on time.

Continuous Improvement: Should be committed to continuous learning and improvement, staying up-to-date with the latest testing tools and methodologies and continuously improving the testing process.

Documentation: A QA Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining documentation of the testing process and test results, as well as reporting progress and results to the project team and stakeholders.
