SAP Basis & Security Consultant

Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled SAP Basis & Security Consultant with 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing SAP landscapes and implementing robust security practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system administration, performance tuning, security role management, and user access control across SAP environments. This role requires expertise in both BASIS administration and SAP security, with a strong focus on operational excellence and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:SAP Basis:

• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Fiori, etc.).
• Handle system refreshes, kernel upgrades, support package installations, and transport management.
• Monitor system performance and perform tuning for high availability and reliability.
• Manage database (HANA/Oracle/SQL) backups, performance optimization, and patching.
• Perform client administration, job scheduling, and system health checks.

SAP Security:

• Design and maintain user roles, profiles, and authorizations across SAP modules.
• Implement segregation of duties (SoD) and manage compliance requirements.
• Conduct user access reviews, role audits, and security risk analysis.
• Support SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) integration and monitoring if applicable.
• Coordinate with auditors to ensure adherence to IT security standards and internal policies.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP Security.
• Proficient in managing SAP landscapes, including ECC, S/4HANA, and HANA DB.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP role design, user provisioning, and security audits.
• Knowledge of Transport Management System (TMS), SAP Notes, and OSS communication.
• Good understanding of network, server infrastructure, and OS-level interactions (Linux/Windows).
• Experience in backup/recovery tools and monitoring tools like Solution Manager.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• SAP Certification in Basis or Security is a plus.
• Exposure to SAP GRC or IDM (Identity Management) tools is desirable.
• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., pharma, banking) is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹438,936.45 - ₹1,712,639.82 per year
