About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Camunda Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team for a strategic workflow implementation project at a major meat supplier in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Camunda BPM/BPMN implementation and workflow design, with B2B procurement and supply chain experience being highly valuable. This role requires a technical professional who can guide our team through implementing business processes in Camunda, establishing integration patterns with our Python services, and ensuring a smooth transition to a flexible and maintainable workflow-driven architecture on AWS cloud. You'll play a crucial role in shaping our workflow strategy and establishing best practices for business process automation in a B2B supply chain context.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize business process workflows using Camunda Platform 8/7
• Establish integration patterns between Camunda workflows and Python services
• Configure Camunda environments and implement best practices
• Develop error handling and compensation mechanisms for robust workflows
• Collaborate with development teams to translate business requirements into technical workflow specifications
• Create documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal team members
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Camunda BPM/BPMN implementation
• Strong knowledge of Camunda Platform 8/7 (Modeler, Operate, Optimize, Cockpit, Tasklist)
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for Camunda implementations
• Experience with BPMN 2.0, DMN, and CMMN modeling standards
• Understanding of Python application architecture
• Experience with AWS cloud services for workflow implementations
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and database management systems
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Camunda Certification is a plus (Camunda Certified Developer)
• Experience with workflow migration projects is beneficial
• Experience integrating Python services with Camunda workflows
• Familiarity with AWS services like Lambda, ECS, EKS, API Gateway
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems
• Experience with transaction management in distributed systems
• Experience in B2B procurement/supply chain industry is valuable
• Previous consulting or technical leadership experience is valuable
