Scrum Master (225-717)

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Scrum Master to join our team and guide the success of our agile projects. As a Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to foster an environment conducive to agile methodologies and principles. You will be the key facilitator who ensures consistent and efficient delivery of projects by working closely with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders. Your expertise will drive scrum processes, remove impediments, and motivate team members towards achieving goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and have a deep understanding of Scrum rituals and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure effective communication.
• Act as a servant leader to mentor, coach, and guide scrum teams in adopting agile principles.
• Collaborate with product owners on backlog management and refinement to prioritize work effectively.
• Identify and remove team impediments to maintain the flow of the project and meet deliverables.
• Promote and advocate continuous process improvement to enhance team performance and deliverables.
• Facilitate key ceremonies and shield the team from external disturbances for focused work.
• Track and report on key metrics to stakeholders to highlight the progress of the project.
• Encourage an environment of trust and collaboration across team members and stakeholders.
• Work closely with other Scrum Masters to adapt and standardize agile practices across teams.
• Guide teams in estimating work effort and setting achievable sprint goals and timelines.
• Ensure the development team is working effectively towards their established sprint commitments.
• Support team members in their individual and group development planning activities.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Scrum Master role or similar capacity.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required.
• Excellent understanding of the Scrum framework, including various artifacts and events.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts in a team setting.
• Proven experience in facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams and manage remote collaboration tools.
