Description of the Role

Pratham International, through its wholly-owned subsidiary in India (PULS Pvt. Ltd.), is looking to
hire a Senior AI Engineer for the PraDigi Initiative. The Senior AI Engineer position is ideal for driven and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for AI and Machine Learning, offering the chance to apply advanced Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques to tackle education-related challenges in diverse contexts across the Global South.

The SeniorAI Engineer will support with:

● AI/ML Development and Deployment: Collaborate to develop and implement AI
techniques tailored to educational goals and objectives into products
• Use Cloud AI platforms like Azure, AWS, and Google’s Vertex AI Studio for scalable
and secure AI deployments
• Well versed with LLM tools, and open to integrating emerging technologies swiftly
into products if the usecase requires it
● Documentation: Document processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure
reproducibility
● Feature Development: Support the deployment of AI-driven features and functionalities
● Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret model output to identify patterns, strengths, and weaknesses using evaluation metrics like word error rate, perplexity, and BLEU scores
● Creativity and innovation: Tackle diverse and complex problems with creative execution

● Research & Communication: Keeping up to date with the latest research and the ability to present findings to a variety of audiences

Desired Experience and Qualification

We are looking for people who have worked on Data Science projects using machine learning and deep learning and have an orientation towards research.

● A Degree in any Mathematics/Computer Science/Data Science or related STEM field
● 2-3 years of full-time experience working in an AI/ML role
● Generative AI: Practical experience in using Generative AI endpoints for applications like
chatbots, content generation, and OCR, and integrating APIs for text, image, or speech
generation
● RAG Frameworks: Proficient in implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation frameworks
to enhance AI response accuracy and relevance
● Prompt Engineering: Ability to create effective prompts to guide AI models and run iterative
experiments to optimize prompt quality
● Cloud AI Platforms: Proficient in deploying and managing ML models using AWS Bedrock,
Azure OpenAI, and Google Vertex AI Studio
