Senior Big Data Engineer – Scala/Spark

Experience Range: 8 to 15 Years

Work Location: Pune

Must-Have Skills:

- Strong expertise in Scala, Spark, and AWS (or any cloud platform)

- Experience in writing multithreaded programs using Scala/Spark

- Proficiency in Git and build tools like Gradle/Maven/SBT

- Deep understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms

- Knowledge of sorting, heap/stack, queue, and search algorithms

- Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD)

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Good-to-Have Skills:

➤ Experience with profiling and optimization techniques

➤ Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

➤ Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

➤ Understanding of Big Data frameworks and distributed systems

Job Responsibilities:

- Design and deliver scalable web services, APIs, and backend data modules

- Develop high-performance, reusable code following best practices

- Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and develop solutions

- Write unit test cases and participate in code reviews

- Stay updated with the latest technology trends, tools, and methodologies

- Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and system scalability
