Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Business Analyst, located in Bengaluru with some work-from-home flexibility. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting business requirements, and working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs. Daily tasks include conducting data analysis, developing business solutions, and facilitating communication among project teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
What You'll Do (Beyond the Usual):
- Strategic Problem Solving: You'll delve deep into current business processes, identify pain points, and collaboratively design solutions for a brand-new staff application.
- Requirements Champion: You'll be responsible for gathering, analysing, and documenting detailed functional and non-functional requirements, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable specifications for development teams.
- Stakeholder Maestro: You'll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, from front-line staff to senior executives, ensuring alignment and buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.
- Process Innovator: You'll model and improve business processes, ensuring the new application not only meets current needs but also anticipates future growth and efficiency gains.
- Quality Advocate: You'll support testing efforts, ensuring the delivered solution meets the highest standards of usability, performance, and reliability.
- Agile Collaborator: You'll thrive in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews, contributing to a continuous delivery model.
What You Bring to the Table (Mandatory Experience):
- Proven Business Analysis Acumen: At least 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of BA methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Requirements Mastery: Demonstrable experience in gathering, documenting (e.g., user stories, use cases, process flows), and managing requirements for complex software development projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent ability to engage, communicate with, and manage expectations of diverse stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Knowledge: A solid understanding of the full SDLC, particularly within an agile or hybrid agile framework.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and propose practical, effective solutions.
Bonus Points (Beneficial but Optional Experience):
- Experience working within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with UI/UX principles and design thinking.
- Experience with specific business process modeling tools or requirements management software.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
- Previous experience with internal application development projects.
