Senior Cloud Architect

Overview

Energetics AI is seeking a visionary Senior Cloud Architect to lead our cloud infrastructure strategy. You’ll architect robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions, primarily on AWS, while maintaining flexibility for multi-cloud deployments. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.

Role Overview

You will own Energetics AI’s cloud platform architecture, ensuring security, resilience, and cost-efficiency. Collaborating with engineering teams, you'll translate business needs into scalable cloud solutions, lead DevOps practices, and explore emerging technologies like Kubernetes advancements and AI/ML infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect Scalable Systems: Design highly available, fault-tolerant architectures on AWS and multi-cloud environments.
• Containerization & Kubernetes: Lead Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, ArgoCD, FluxCD) strategies for efficient microservices orchestration.
• Security & Compliance: Implement robust infrastructure security (IAM, VPC, Anchore, Trivy, OWASP ZAP, Burpsuite) and conduct regular security audits.
• Production Operations: Manage production environments ensuring 99.9%+ uptime with monitoring and alerting frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, Loki, ELK Stack, PagerDuty, Alertmanager, Slack, Teams).
• Cost Optimization: Optimize cloud expenses leveraging auto-scaling, instance right-sizing, and FinOps best practices.
• Team Leadership: Mentor cloud and DevOps teams, fostering CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, SonarQube, Nexus, JFrog), and Infrastructure as Code practices (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible).
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with development teams and stakeholders aligning infrastructure with business goals.
• Emerging Tech & Innovation: Evaluate and adopt new AWS services, AI/ML model deployments (Hugging Face, LangChain, Amazon Bedrock, Pinecone).

Required Skills & Experience

• Cloud Infrastructure: 8+ years designing and managing AWS-centric infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM).
• Containerization & Kubernetes: Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, Helm, ArgoCD, FluxCD), container security, and networking.
• Security & Compliance: Proven experience with secure architecture design and tools (Anchore, Trivy, OWASP ZAP, Burpsuite).
• Production Management: Experience with monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) and maintaining high availability.
• Cost Management: Strong ability in AWS cost management tools and resource optimization.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Proven team leadership, excellent communication, and mentorship skills.
• Adaptability & Learning: Rapid learner, comfortable exploring new technologies and frameworks.
• Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Skills

• AI/ML Infrastructure: Experience with ML deployments (TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, Pinecone).
• Multi-Cloud Expertise: Knowledge of Azure, Google Cloud, and cloud-agnostic solutions.
• DevOps Toolchain: Familiarity with advanced DevOps and CI/CD tools, Kubernetes operators, and container security scanning.
• Performance Engineering: Background in infrastructure and application performance tuning.
• Deep-Tech R&D: Experience with innovative deep-tech projects or startups.
• Programming & Automation: Proficiency in Python and automation with Ansible.
