Senior Consultant - Data Analyst

WSP is the world's largest supplier of Land Referencing services and is looking for candidates with experience in the IT industry who will help us to develop and support our systems.

We work on the countries largest infrastructure projects with clients in a variety of sectors such as Road, Rail, Energy, Aviation and Water. Our innovative systems are at the core of what we do and drive our business forward.

Guiding our clients through the planning process is key to the success of our projects meaning the high quality information we store can be used by our land consultants to demonstrate the robust nature of our work and how we have met diligent enquiry.

Responsibilities

• You will work closely with the our land consultants to ensure the data collected is of the highest quality and provide advice on how to improve the quality of our data. This will involve analysing data to suggest approaches for data cleansing, creating custom extracts of data to a specific requirement or building detailed reports for senior stakeholders within the business and for our clients.
• Using your experience, you will be responsible for the quality of data on a variety of our projects by highlighting trends and isolating issues. Proactively implementing approaches to improve quality, such as combining 3rd party datasets and guiding projects on the steps they should take to resolve data issues.
• This is a technical hands on role and will require you to quickly acquire an understanding of the business and the data maintained. Then apply the skills and experience you possess to deliver feature rich reporting solutions.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate or Master�s in relevant field.
• Strong analytical skills, an ability to present and communicate data, trends, insights and make recommendations to different stakeholders
• Strong Sql Server skills when designing and querying databases with large datasets
• Experience with creating reports and dashboards using Sql Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Experience in the design, implementation and testing of ETL packages using SSIS
• Experience with data warehousing methodologies such as Kimball or Inmon
• Strong technical skills demonstrating the ability to implement and maintain an enterprise level reporting solution
• Experience of using languages such as Python or R
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI or Qlikview
• Experience with 3rd Party Reporting solution Telerik Report Server or Syncfusion Report Server
• Experience with cloud Platforms such as Azure
• Experience in developing with Microsoft technologies such as .Net, Asp.Net (Webforms\Mvc\Core) using C#
