What You Will Do

• Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
• Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity.
• Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources.
• Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution.
• Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets.
• Developing complex data analysis, methodologies, and predictive data models for assessing education outcomes.
• Developing and leading projects that include a variety of advanced qualitative and quantitative analytic assignments related to pre-K through12 and postsecondary education.
• Collecting, analyzing, and reporting county, city, and school district data.
• Providing relevant data-related reports to Impact Tulsa leadership, collaborative action networks, and key community stakeholders for decision-making, action planning, and continuous improvement.
• Providing technical assistance and building understanding among partners about the effective use of data.
• Developing systems and tools for effective data management, visualization, and interpretation (systems design, dashboards, information graphics, mapping, Tableau).
• Supporting implementation of continuous improvement processes
  
  

What You Will Need

• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
• 3 or more years of experience mining data as a data analyst
• Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations.
• Strong SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools.
• Practical experience in statistical analysis using SQL, Excel/VBA, R, PowerBI, Databricks, Apache Hive and Hadoop, and threat analytics platforms such as Flashpoint and Recorded Future.
• Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  
  

What Would Be Nice To Have

• Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel) .
• Technical and data manipulation experience with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
