**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Happiest Minds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering with a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 8 years of experience. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support our data initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines using AWS services.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide support for data acquisition and transformation.
- Utilize Python and SQL for data manipulation and transformation tasks, ensuring high data quality and integrity.
- Monitor and optimize existing data systems and architectures to improve performance and scalability.
- Implement best practices for data security and compliance within data engineering processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and develop documentation for data processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data engineering tools and technologies.
**Required Skills:**
- 5-8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related field.
- Proficient in AWS services (such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda).
- Strong programming skills in Python for data modeling and ETL processes.
- Expertise in SQL for querying and managing data in relational databases.
- Experience with data warehousing and data lake concepts.
- Knowledge of data governance practices and data quality principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior team members.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
