The Opportunity
Magellanic Cloud is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and optimizing our data infrastructure and pipelines. You will leverage your deep expertise in cloud data services and modern data engineering principles to drive our data-driven initiatives and deliver impactful :

Magellanic Cloud is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and optimizing our data infrastructure and pipelines. You will leverage your deep expertise in cloud data services and modern data engineering principles to drive our data-driven initiatives and deliver impactful :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines using various ETL/ELT methodologies.
- Architect and implement efficient data models and data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Build and optimize data infrastructure on leading cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Implement and manage data solutions utilizing technologies such as Redshift, Glue, BigQuery, Dataflow, Synapse, Data Factory, Snowflake, and Databricks.
- Write complex and performant SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.
- Develop and maintain data processing scripts and applications using Python or Scala.
- Apply knowledge of Data Mesh and Data Fabric principles in the design and implementation of data solutions.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data pipelines and systems.
- Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of data infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud data services.
Must-Have :
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Cloud Data Services.
- Extensive practical experience with at least two of the following cloud platforms and their data services:
- AWS: Redshift, Glue
- GCP: BigQuery, Dataflow
- Azure: Synapse Analytics, Data Factory
- Snowflake
- Databricks
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Solid programming skills in Python or Scala for data processing and automation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Data Mesh and Data Fabric principles.
- Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Prefect).
- Familiarity with data governance and data cataloging tools.
- Experience with real-time data processing technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
