Required Skills
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL data pipelines using Python on Spark to process large datasets efficiently.
- Develop, optimize, and manage data workflows to support batch and real-time data processing needs.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain data pipelines in production environments, ensuring robustness and reliability.
- Build and maintain data integration solutions, connecting disparate data sources into unified systems.
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to refine data models and support business intelligence tools.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance for ETL jobs and streaming pipelines to ensure low latency and high throughput.
- Implement data governance practices, including monitoring data quality, validation checks, and versioning.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy requirements when managing and processing sensitive data.
- Partner with global engineering teams to standardize data processing frameworks and promote best practices.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and optimizing batch or streaming pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in Python/PySpark or other object-oriented programming languages like Scala or Java.
- Experience with stream processing technologies such as Kafka, Spark Streaming, AWS Kinesis, or Flink.
- Advanced SQL skills for creating complex queries, database optimization, and working with relational and non-relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with scheduling and orchestration tools like Airflow, Luigi, or similar.
- Familiarity with building and deploying cloud-native solutions using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong understanding of distributed data processing concepts, such as partitioning, sharding, and fault tolerance.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of data solutions.
- Knowledge of data lake and data warehouse architectures, including working with tools like Snowflake or Redshift.
- A foundational understanding of data security, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Hybrid Working: You can work remotely for up to 50 days each year.
