About C2FO’s Data & Decision Science Team

The Data & Decision Science (D&DS) team is one of the most dynamic and cross-functional teams at C2FO. It comprises four pillars: Data Engineering, Data Science & Analytics, Data Operations, and Business Intelligence. Spread across India and the US, our teams power C2FO’s global growth by building scalable, high-quality data solutions and driving data-backed innovation.

We manage the full lifecycle of data — from architecture and governance to advanced modeling, business intelligence, and AI. Our team enables smarter decisions, deeper insights, and practical experimentation across C2FO’s ecosystem.

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who thrives at the intersection of business impact and technical rigor. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of problems — from traditional ML (forecasting, credit scoring, churn prediction) to cutting-edge applications of large language models (LLMs) in customer engagement and retention.

You’ll be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment, where initiative, ownership, and curiosity are rewarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Build ML models and scalable data solutions for business-critical problems like dynamic discounting, customer retention, LTV prediction, credit scoring, and more
• Design, experiment, and iterate quickly on MVPs that solve real business pain points
• Work cross-functionally to translate ambiguous business challenges into data science problems
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Governance to ensure robust data validation and quality frameworks
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to extract actionable insights from large, complex datasets
• Contribute to a culture of learning, innovation, and experimentation
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science or applied machine learning
• Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and ML concepts
• Experience building and deploying ML models in production environments
• Proficiency in Python and data manipulation tools (SQL, Pandas)
• Familiarity with libraries like Scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, etc.
• Experience in hypothesis testing and experimentation frameworks
• A pragmatic mindset: build fast, learn fast, iterate fastExceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Bonus: experience in fintech or financial services
