Job Description

Designation: Senior Devops Engineer

Location: Borivali West Mumbai (WFO) (Hybrid)

Reporting to: Chief Technical Architect

Principal Accountabilities

• Develop and deliver automation software for enhancing the functionality, reliability, availability, and manageability of applications and cloud platforms.
• Design, architect, and implement self-service, self-healing, synthetic monitoring, and alerting platforms and tools.
• Automate software development, testing, and deployment processes through robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate security standards such as SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and OWASP Top 10 best practices into application and infrastructure development.
• Monitor and secure applications using GCP Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, VPNs, ZTNs, and DMZ architectures.
• Maintain and secure APIs and reverse proxies using Apache and Nginx.
  
  

Work Dimensions

• Deploy and manage cloud-based infrastructure services, particularly on AWS and GCP (hands-on experience in at least one is essential).
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to automate provisioning and configuration.
• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, and leverage services such as AWS Fargate and GCP Cloud Run.
• Design and manage high-availability and scalable cloud systems, integrating Cloud DNS and security configurations for global traffic handling.
• Introduce and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to drive innovation, particularly in commerce platforms.
• Implement observability and analytics using the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and maintain logs for audit and monitoring.
• Manage SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB Atlas, Redis Cache, and MySQL for scalable data architecture.
• Manage machine learning model hosting and maintenance on GPU-based machines, ensuring availability and performance.
• Work with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, and Maven to maintain robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage WordPress environments, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.

Required Qualities

• 4 - 6 years of industry experience in IT or software engineering.
• Minimum 3years of hands-on experience with AWS or GCP.
• Expertise in object-oriented programming concepts.
• Strong grasp of web programming and developing secure, scalable web-based applications.
• Proficiency with languages such as Python, Bash, Core Java, Scala.
• Strong team collaboration skills with clear personal and professional growth goals.
• Open, humble, and a team-first mindset.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or Computer Science (Graduate-level education preferred).
