Job Title: DevOps Engineer (AWS, CI/CD, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Microservices)

About the Role We’re looking for a proactive and experienced DevOps Engineer to support our growing platform built on a microservices and event-driven architecture. You’ll be a key player in designing and maintaining infrastructure on AWS, building robust CI/CD pipelines, and supporting systems built with Node.js, NestJS, Kafka/RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Key Responsibilities

● Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS

● Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and ensure fast delivery cycles

● Set up infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

● Monitor system health, performance, and security using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.

● Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of environments

● Manage and support messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ

● Work closely with backend engineers to deploy and manage microservices effectively

● Maintain and optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) from an infrastructure standpoint

● Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies are in place

● Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

● Write and maintain custom Bash scripts for automation, monitoring, and system maintenance Requirements

● 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role

● Strong hands-on experience with AWS and its core services (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, etc.)

● Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)

● Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools

● Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ in a production environment

● Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

● Familiarity with logging and monitoring stacks (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)

● Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) ●

Understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure best practices

● Experience working with event-driven architectures and microservices

● Strong knowledge of Bash scripting for automation and system operations Nice to Have

● Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect)

● Experience with service mesh (e.g., Istio) or API gateways

● Familiarity with serverless architecture and event-sourcing patterns

● Knowledge of database optimization and backup strategies
