Senior Integrations and Cloud Engineer

Epicor is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with development teams to define and implement standardized solutions across our cloud infrastructure, primarily utilizing Azure, with additional exposure to AWS and GCP. You will serve as a mentor to other architects, guiding them in designing bespoke and fit-for-purpose solutions by capturing, analyzing, and understanding detailed requirements. Your expertise will be essential in shaping our integrations and cloud architecture while ensuring adherence to best practices.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with development teams to establish and implement standardized solutions and design patterns for cloud applications.
• Mentor and guide other architects in designing tailored solutions that meet specific business needs.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive cloud architecture library, including reference architectures, design patterns, and reusable components.
• Provide expert guidance and support to development teams on cloud best practices and architectural decisions.
• Review and approve cloud architecture designs to ensure alignment with business goals and technical standards.
• Participate in technical design reviews, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, particularly in Azure.
• Design and implement scalable and efficient integration and cloud architectures.
• Estimate project requirements ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Automate cloud operations to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Diagnose, triage, and resolve issues within solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Ensure security and compliance across all cloud environments.
• Optimize cloud environments for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Integrate cloud services with on-premises systems to create cohesive solutions.
• Manage and monitor cloud costs to ensure budget adherence.
  
  

What You Will Need To Succeed

• 5+ years of development or software engineering roles.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based solutions, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Proficient in C#, SQL Server, and Azure features such as elasticity, auto-failover.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies like Terraform, Pulumi, Bicep or other.
• Experience in cloud standardization and design patterns.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Experience in monitoring, scalability, and performance optimization of cloud environments.
• Strong background in cloud integration strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

Desired Skills

• Experience with additional cloud platforms, such as AWS and GCP.
• Relevant Azure certifications, such as AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• A functional consulting background with relevant technical skills or a development background with significant design experience.
