Job Overview:
The E3D Administrator will manage AVEVA E3D projects, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance during tool deployment. The role involves coordinating with managers and providing user support for AVEVA Engineering tools.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- System Configuration and Setup:
- Configure and set up the AVEVA E3D environment, including user roles & permissions, and project-specific settings in line with client/project requirements
- Thorough knowledge on creation of Catalogues, Specifications, writing PML code
- Understands the scope of each project and has the capability to create E3D database structures that will enable the 3D design and subsequent creation of deliverables
- Create E3D model based on 3D modelling procedure with the required databases, teams and users and access rights according to E3D Administration, audit & control
- User Management:
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels within the AVEVA E3D system to ensure that each user has appropriate access rights based on their role and responsibilities
- Interact directly with users/discipline leads and document requirements and special needs related to project design
- Coordinate with designers from respective engineering disciplines to meet the project deliverables with timeliness and quality based on input
- Troubleshoot and escalate appropriately any technical issues and follow-up for quick resolution
- Customization and Configuration:
- Customize and configure AVEVA E3D to meet specific needs and requirements of the organization, including customizing user interfaces, workflows, and reports to optimize productivity and workflow efficiency
- Project specific customization of system and writing macros as per project needs and for further checking the quality of E3D outputs
- Creation of Catalogues for all discipline, as per vendor data, by taking into account various aspects and attention to detailing
- Provides technical support for customized tools, utilities and scripts to automate work processes, performing daily maintenance on CAD databases including researching and reconciling inconsistencies and variations in data
- Perform routine checks on model through data verification and project auditing
- Pipe, Tray & HVAC Support configuration/customization as per project requirements and inline with project issues standard
- Customization of various reports to cater to project requirements & Fabrication requests
- Data Management and Integration:
- Oversee data management processes within AVEVA E3D, including data import/export, data integrity checks, and integration with other engineering and design software systems, to ensure seamless data flow and consistency
- Create required reports from E3D model for Layout / Material groups
- Upload specification files in E3D & check the completeness and correctness of items uploaded in E3D
- Setup ISODRAFT module for generating isometrics as per project & client specifications / documents & resolve and trouble shoot isometric errors
- Update model review files using Navisworks on daily basis and copy them to project server for the use by the Design/Fab teams
- Training and Documentation:
- Develop training materials and documentation to onboard new users and train existing users on the use of the AVEVA E3D software, ensuring that users have the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively utilize the software
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users encountering issues with the AVEVA E3D software, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime
- Other Tasks:
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Uploading & checking specification generated from material management applications to E3D
- E3D application installation and trouble shooting
- Familiar with pipe supports & CEASER-II software
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent technical diploma
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in PDMS/E3D Administration of which 8 years should be in the use & configuration of AVEVA E3D
- Good understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and data management practices to achieve project execution goals
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to engineering data management
