We are looking for Senior Java Developer with 7 to 10 years of experience to be based out of Mangalore office in India and be part of our growth story.

As a Senior Developer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and shape an emerging team of developers, building and supporting multiple products that are part of EG Retail & Wholesale. You will play an important role in building a strong development team in India.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs using Java Spring Boot.
• Design and implement messaging and streaming solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Ensure high standards of code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Take complete ownership of features or modules from requirement to production.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack (front-end, back-end, infrastructure).
• Drive technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and propose improvements.
• Guide, mentor, and provide technical support to junior developers and interns.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and propose ways to incorporate them where appropriate.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
• Working knowledge of Apache Kafka (producer/consumer development, message schema handling).
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and basic familiarity with NoSQL.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, Agile team environment
