Senior Java Developer

Overview

Responsibilities:

• Design & Develop: Build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services for Clean Expense’s fintech platform.

• API Development: Implement and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support mobile and web applications.

• Database Management: Design efficient schemas, optimize queries, and manage transactional data in MySQL and BigQuery.

• Integration & Automation: Work with external APIs (Plaid, Finix, AstraFi, Sila Money, etc.) for banking, payments, and transaction categorization.

• Security & Compliance: Implement authentication, authorization, and data security best practices (OAuth, JWT, encryption).

• Performance Optimization: Ensure the backend performs efficiently under high loads, optimizing queries, caching strategies, and event-driven workflows.

• Infrastructure & Deployment: Manage deployments in Kubernetes, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and work with Terraform for infrastructure automation.

• Collaboration: Work closely with frontend engineers, product teams, and AI engineers to deliver an end-to-end seamless experience.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.

• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot).

• Experience with relational databases (MySQL) and BigQuery.

• Solid understanding of event-driven architectures using Kafka or Pub/Sub.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), Kubernetes, and Terraform.

• Experience with authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, API keys).

• Knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and containerization.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with Plaid, Finix, or other financial APIs is a plus.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,862,014.01 per year
