Senior Java Developer – Spring Batch/Boot /Vertica

Overview

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Oracle, and Vertica to join our team in Chennai, India. The role involves building scalable, high-performance applications and batch processing systems for data-intensive use cases in the Banking/Finance domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch
• Build and optimize batch data processing workflows for high-volume data ingestion
• Work with Oracle and Vertica databases for data operations, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Develop and expose REST APIs and integrate with other systems in a microservices environment
• Participate in Agile development, sprint planning, and code reviews
• Ensure best practices in coding, security, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver robust solutions
• Provide mentorship and support to junior developers.

Qualifications:

• 6–10 years of backend development experience in enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch
• Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and Vertica for large-scale data processing and analytics
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and API development
• Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Git, Jenkins)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Banking or Financial Services
• Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, or other messaging/data caching systems
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹605,498.23 - ₹1,812,550.63 per year
