Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for all aspects of network design, implementation, operation and support. This is a senior level position that will incorporate tactical response and strategic consideration.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides advanced technical expertise to maintain the stability and security of the company’s networked environment to include SD-WAN, Data Centers, LAN, WLAN and Firewalls.
- Works with business leadership on behalf of clients to ensure that requirements are understood and met
- Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipments and related services
- Escalation Point and Subject Matter Expert for all network related problems
- Author and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented services
- Independently manages large enterprise projects to deliver value on time and within budget
- Provides technical oversight and design of hosted data center configurations and footprints
- Works with leadership to manage support and maintenance contracts
- Establishes and maintains relationships with key network and data center vendors
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY: An individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
- Advanced hands-on skills related to implementing and administrating enterprise network devices:
- Firewalls – Cisco ASA, Palo Alto and PFSense
- Load Balancers - F5 and HA Proxy
- Traffic shapers and QoS – Cisco Routers and SilverPeak
- Network Switches – Mellanox Cumulus, Cisco and Meraki
- Remote Access – Cisco AnyConnect, Zscaler and Global Protect
- Wireless Access Points – Cisco and Meraki
- Monitoring and Reporting – SolarWinds
- Network Tasks Automation – Ansible
- SD-WAN – SilverPeak
- Cloud Networking – Azure, AWS and Hybrid Cloud
- DNS - BIND
- A thorough understanding of available network and security technologies including cost, benefit, price, etc.
- A thorough understanding of hosted data center strategies (Converged and Hyper-converged infrastructure) and operational considerations
- Strong hands-on working knowledge of Linux (SUSE, Ubuntu, Cumulus, CENTOS, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical certifications
- 10+ years of network engineering and administration mandatory
- Minimum 3 years in a Senior or Lead role
- Embraces both technical and process maturity in support of continuously available and secure solutions
- Advanced level of technical expertise
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
- Project management and project leadership skills
- Motivated and decisive self-starter
- 24x7 on-call duties required
- Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Embraces a team-oriented approach
- Ability to travel 10-20%
