Senior Principal - Software Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Designs the overall technological architecture of the product (i.e., front to back tech stack) with the help of product teams, business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical leaders
• Develop proof-of-concept solutions, architectural diagrams, and specifications in response to business needs
• Guides product teams on technology strategy related to tech stack coding standards
• Write technical documentation and effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and ideas
• Works with the Product Manager to align the roadmap with the tradeoffs of the product technical stack and share responsibility for building reusable and scalable components
• Mentors and coaches, the Tech Leads / Developers around best practices for the product tech stack
• Looks to continuously improve the product tech stack and solve its engineering limitations
• Participate in design and sprint reviews to identify and remove technical impediments
• Design complex network and database systems that support daily IT functions and activities
• Periodically audit existing systems infrastructure and architecture to ensure an accurate, high-level understanding of present capabilities
• Architect cloud infrastructure and services to flexibly support the business (elastic scaling)
• Report to leadership and key stakeholders regarding your findings, making recommendations, and providing clear roadmaps for successful changes
• Collaborate with other IT professionals and software engineers to develop systems solutions capable of supporting our goals
• Oversee teams that implement changes in physical hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration of new technologies
• Extensive Knowledge of CMS, Drupal, Acquia systems (ACSF, Acquia Cloud, and Site Studio), and their interconnections with other SAAS tools with the ability to connect the business value they provide
• Knowledge of common enterprise software (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory, GitHub, Browser Stack) and systems (e.g., private corporate networks) including cloud-native environments and services (e.g., Kubernetes clusters, AWS VPC, etc.)
• Comfortable working in SaaS and cloud-native environments, and has a deep understanding of cloud computing and technologies/platforms (AWS) and Web Technology and Content Management Platforms (CMS)
• Familiar with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile Development, DevOps (e.g., CI/CD processes), and Scrum

Skills Required:

• Extensive knowledge of CMS, Drupal, Acquia systems (ACSF, Acquia Cloud, and Site Studio) and their interconnections with other SaaS tools
• Knowledge of common enterprise software (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory, GitHub, Browser Stack) and systems (e.g., private corporate networks) including cloud-native environments and services (e.g., Kubernetes clusters, AWS VPC, etc.)
• Deep understanding of cloud computing and technologies/platforms (AWS)
• Expertise in Web Technology and Content Management Platforms (CMS)
• Familiarity with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Strong experience in Agile Development and DevOps (e.g., CI/CD processes)
• Proficiency in Scrum methodology
• Strong architectural design and systems thinking capabilities
• Ability to work in SaaS and cloud-native environments
• Knowledge in designing scalable and reusable components

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
